OVERVIEW: The Model YDT2 is a Lead Free ductile iron Y strainer (wye strainer) that can be used in applications for water, oil, or gas where protection from foreign matter in a pipeline is required. The YDT2 is 300# class.
They are constructed from ductile iron, and have female NPT thread ends. Perforated 304 stainless steel screens are welded along the seam for maximum strength. If the media is not specified, screens for water will be supplied.
Non-Shock Working Pressure for the YDT2 is 640psi at 100F for water, oil, and gas (WOG). These strainers have been extensively tested in gas applications with Buna-N gaskets for superb sealing capabilities for the service.
These strainers self-clean by opening the drain plug connected to the blow-off port. See the maintenance instructions for more detailed information on servicing the strainer, and the submittal sheet for additional technical data.
