SF PVC/CPVC/PP SWING CHECK VALVES

OVERVIEW: The Stayflow SF Industrial Swing Check Valve is used in many chemical processing applications where a high volume of fluid transfer is required. It is suitable for horizontal or up-flow applications, and is available in PVC, CPVC, and Glass Filled Polypropylene with Flanged bodies in sizes 3/4" to 8". They can be fitted with an optional counter balance device to further control closing speed.

Unlike fixed in-line check devices, such as ball or spring loaded plungers, the Swing Check allows higher GPM fluid transfer with minimum restriction. Contoured interior surfaces are optimized for optimum flow, minimum turbulence, and less entrapment of any debris present in fluid media.

Engineered to reduce water hammer, the check disc responds quickly to back flow with as little as 0.5 psi closing pressure. Optional features include a high visibility directional arrow or exterior counter balance weight for fine tuning disc closing characteristics. A heavy body design uses no metal components in contact with process fluids. The CPVC, PVC, or Polypropylene components provide superior strength and maximum chemical resistance. Standard O-ring seals are used for seat, swing arm, bonnet, and drain plug. The convenient O-ring sealed drain plug allows a quick flush of any accumulated debris from the bottom of valve.

Valve pressure deratings at elevated temperatures apply. Suitable for oil-free air handling to 25 psi, not for distribution of compressed air or gas.

General Installation Information: Industrial Swing check valves are designed for horizontal installations, but may be installed in up-flow only vertical position. Check valves should be installed a minimum of ten (10) pipe diameters from pump or other sources of turbulence.
